We supply and retrofit API 682 compliant mechanical seals and dry gas seals for pumps, compressors and agitators across Pakistan's refineries, gas compression stations, power plants and petrochemical facilities. As Flowserve's representative in Pakistan we have access to the full Flowserve sealing range, including the heritage brands Flowserve now supports.
What we supply
- Cartridge seals — the Flowserve ISC2-682 family, balanced pusher and metal bellows seals designed to comply fully with API 682 Type A and Type B requirements
- Metal bellows seals — the Flowserve BX series and its high-temperature BXRH and BXHHS variants, which use a welded metal bellows in place of a dynamic elastomeric secondary seal, removing the elastomer as a temperature and chemical-compatibility limit
- Pusher seals — the Flowserve QB range, API 682 compliant and dimensionally suited to API 610 process pumps
- Dry gas seals — the Flowserve Gaspac line for centrifugal compressors, including seal support and gas conditioning systems
- Seal support systems — API 682 Plan 52, 53A/B/C, 54 and 72/74/76 arrangements
- Agitator, mixer and general industry seals
Heritage brands we support
A great deal of installed rotating equipment in Pakistan carries a nameplate from a manufacturer that no longer trades under that name. Flowserve has absorbed several of them, and we can supply original, upgraded or reverse-engineered replacements for:
If your seal carries one of these names, we can identify and replace it. Send us the part number or a photograph of the nameplate.
Standards
API 682 is the American Petroleum Institute standard for pump and rotary shaft sealing systems in refinery, petrochemical and gas service. It defines seal categories, types and arrangements together with qualification testing requirements. Specifying to API 682 is how a plant ensures a seal will survive the duty it is given.
Services
Seal selection and application engineering · supply · installation and commissioning support · failure analysis · seal conversion and upgrade · retrofit of obsolete seals · seal support system design.
Project highlight
Fatima Fertilizer — CO2 compressor dry gas seal retrofit, 2010. A dry gas seal conversion engineered and executed with Flowserve. To our knowledge it remains the only project of its kind completed in Pakistan.
Frequently asked questions
Can you supply a seal if the pump manufacturer no longer exists?
Yes. Much of our seal work is on equipment from Durametallic, BW/IP, Byron Jackson, Worthington and other heritage brands. We work from nameplate data, physical measurement, or reverse engineering where drawings are unavailable.
What is the difference between an API 682 Type A and Type B seal?
Type A uses a pusher design with an elastomeric secondary seal and is the default for most refinery services. Type B uses a metal bellows, which removes the dynamic elastomer and extends the usable temperature range. Type C is a high-temperature metal bellows design.
What information do you need to quote a seal?
Equipment tag and service, pump or compressor make and model, seal part number if known, shaft size, and operating conditions — temperature, pressure, speed and the product being sealed. A photograph of the nameplate is often enough for us to begin.
