Hardcastle, Waud (Pvt.) Ltd. is a family-owned Pakistani enterprise with more than 75 years of continuous trading in industrial supply. Since 1948 we have supplied mechanical equipment, specialised spares and specialty lubricants to leading public and private sector organisations across the country, principally in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical and API Refinery sectors.
Engineering, not only supply
Our value to a client is rarely the part alone. It is knowing which part, for equipment that may be forty years old, from a manufacturer that may no longer exist under that name. Our technical team works from the installed base — drawings, nameplate data, failure history and site survey — to specify equipment that fits, performs and can be maintained.
Where original drawings have been lost or the original manufacturer no longer supports the machine, we work with our principals to reverse-engineer and remanufacture components, frequently with improved materials and tighter tolerances than the original.
Our principals
Our long-standing success rests on exclusive and long-term relationships with world-renowned principals. We supply turbomachinery for gas pipelines, petrochemical plants and refineries; API pumps and mechanical seals from Flowserve; advanced gasketing and packing from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (Merkel), IDT Tripp and Pillar; and repair, overhaul and field services through NEWJCM Group.
Alongside the mechanical line we supply an extensive range of high-performance specialty lubricants and chemical compounds: aerospace chemical solutions, forging lubricants and die-casting release agents from Henkel, cutting coolants from Hornett Bros, and non-destructive testing materials from Met-L-Check — together with rust penetrants, corrosion preventives, alkaline cleaners and pipe jointing compounds.
Where we are
We operate from three offices in Pakistan — Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad — and an international office in Sharjah, UAE, through Hardcastle Waud FZE, which handles export supply into Pakistan against documentary letters of credit.
How we work
- Specify. We start from the equipment, not the catalogue — site survey, nameplate data, drawings and operating conditions.
- Supply. Direct from our principals, with the documentation and certification our clients' QA departments require.
- Install and commission. Field service support through our principals' engineers and our own technical team.
- Maintain. Inspection, repair, refurbishment, overhaul and conversion, planned around shutdown windows.
